Just played this recently and I really liked it! Great job coming up with interesting story lines. Also, I really like the game mechanics. The walking animation and flashlight were smooth. Thanks for sharing, love your games!

You can check out my gameplay on Youtube here too.

Love the playthrough. So glad you enjoyed! It's really a pleasure watching players having fun with one of my games. :)

The graphical overlays (octopus, mustache, toque, etc.) are hilarious! Great "insanity effects" too.

Very creepy game. I really like the graphic style used. Keep up the great work!

Thanks so much for playing! I'm so glad you enjoyed.

It's always a thrill to watch people having fun with one of my games. And I loved hearing you do all the voices. :)

Hi again! Just a heads up that I have a new game up that you might find interesting. It's a sci-fi/horror game with similar gameplay, but quite a bit longer than this one:

The Gnawing Hunger by FallingWallGames (itch.io)

Cool "Horror" game where everyone that is human looks like a monster to you, it was a cool twist at the end. Very enjoyable game overall. Thank you for making this! 1st game.

Thanks so much for playing and uploading! It's always exciting to watch someone else playing something I built. :)

I played the game and it was hilarious

Thanks for playing! Sounds like you had fun. :)

Moral of the story, cheating never end well. Very nice game !!

Thank you so much! :)

Did this guy murder his wife and best friend while they were having an affair?

Probably. It's meant to be a little ambiguous, because the protagonist's perception is unreliable and he's having some delusions.

That makes sense.

Epic game

Thanks so much for trying it out! :)

Really Fun Game.

I acutally enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing and recording this! It's always so helpful to the creator to see the game through the fresh eyes of new players.

I'm so glad you enjoyed. :)

Amazing game and it is wonderfully made. I am wondering if they're are more endings?

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked it.

Right now, there is only one ending. I did consider multiple endings, but I couldn't make up my mind. Then before long, I ran out of time. Making a game in 72 hours is pretty frantic. :) I may implement multiple endings in a future version.

More broadly speaking, however, this raises some difficult design questions.

Specifically, the creator's desire to create a consistent character clashes with the desire to grant the player authorship over their own experience. To put it another way: the "bad" ending feels like the "correct" ending, dramatically speaking, for Peter Marlowe, and yet I appreciate that players want to have control over the ending. Whichever path the creator takes, something is sacrificed. :-)

Absolutely great visuals, you really managed to make each demonic creature look so unique. The story was interesting, and I loved how you approached the interaction at the end of the game.

Thanks so much! And thanks for linking the vid. I really love watching people play my games--it really helps me understand what works and what doesn't.

Meeka, you *might* find this older game of mine interesting, also.

It's partly sci-fi, partly cosmic horror. Just a thought. :)

The Derelict Orpheus: Post-Jam Edition by FallingWallGames (itch.io)

I have a new horror game up and you might be interested. :)

Keep up the great work!

I am very impressed by the story you have written. It surely is dark. The protagonists traumas are his worst enemy - great interpretation of the limitation.

Overall, good job!

Thank you! I channeled some innate guilt and paranoia. :)

Its so good mabye add more lore and make it a good horror mystery game

(+1)

just looking at the characters gave me the chills

Thanks for checking it out, and so glad you enjoyed.

I might branch out and a mystery game that carries forward some of these ideas. It'll take a bit of thinking.

The characters were my favorite part to make. :)

WOW.

The flashlight mechanic combined with replacing elements in the scene unexpectedly made this genuinely scary. I can't believe y'all did all this incredible scenery and character art and it actually plays this well in just a few days.

The dialogue was well written, and got a few belly laughs out of me. "Were you always an angler fish?" hahaha.

Amazing details, runs smooth, thoughtful gameplay. This one's a winner.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I woke up this morning and I was ready to abandon the project; I was certain that I had bitten off more than I could chew.

But I pushed through and made it (1 minute 15 seconds before the deadline)! :)

This is definitely the "darkest" project I've ever done, in more ways than one. I'm really psyched that you enjoyed it so much.
