Fun game!  The progress based on abilities unfolds really nicely, and the background story added to the fun.  It was nice that there were some points where I had to puzzle over what to do -- it made figuring it out more fun.  I forgot that the map existed so I played to the end without it, but it worked out!  I enjoyed the different characters, too.

One small bug I encountered is that if I pull up the credits at the title screen, I can't get them back down (pushing X doesn't work, nor does clicking 'though' the credits window to start game, etc.), so I have to reload the page.

Nice work!

Thanks so much for checking it out!

I'd be curious to know more about the bits that (temporarily) stumped you. I did aim to make the game challenging but not frustrating (generally an impossible challenge :) ).

I'll look into the bug on the front end, thanks again!

I'm not positive, but I think it was finding the red gate (I believe there was only one red gate in the game?  I don't want to describe it any further to avoid spoilers in the comments).   I wandered back and forth looking  for the next move for a while (I had forgotten that the game had a map, so perhaps that would have helped).

Yeah, there's only one red gate in the game.

Thanks for playing! Looking forward to more of yours also.

One of the best games I've ever played on this platform!

Thank you so much! Very kind of you.

Oof--I was really kind of enjoying this, and then when I was jumping up the series of three blocks along the right edge, something glitched and I ended up falling down the right side, into a serpent-statue room, behind a green door I couldn't get past, with no way to reset.  I may give it another shot, but it looks like this run is dead....

Oh no! I wonder what happened with the collision. I'll look into it.

Thanks so much for trying it out, and so glad you were having fun (until this point...).

Update: I've added an option in the map screen to return to the previous checkpoint. :)
